Originating from Finland, Junction is Europe's largest hackathon and a global tech community. Alongside Finland's premier startup event, Slush, both are owned by the Startup Foundation.

At its core, Junction connects innovative tech talents from around the world with leading track partnering organizations through 48-hour immersive hackathons. Junction focuses on cutting-edge technological innovation fields, where teams collaborate to develop solutions for practical innovation challenges. Throughout this process, Junction offers talent aggregation, project innovation, and brand exposure to the host region and participating enterprises. Additionally, it provides teams with a platform for localized development, employment opportunities, and project incubation.

Since 2015, Junction has been hosted in more than 20 countries worldwide. The events have attracted over 40,000 participants from over 100 different nationalities and have reached more than 510 leading universities. Over 6,000 projects have been created through these events, in collaboration with nearly 200 global track partners.
